Chers Confrères et Consoeurs:

Kicking off this new year, was our first Chaîne intimate event, that took place at one of our Chaîne partners, Olives Café in Edmonds. Executive Chef and Owner Michael Young and his team put together a dinner that will be remembered for a long time, and the very lucky seventeen of us attending this event couldn’t have been more content. It all started with a selection of delicious Hors d’Oeuvres followed by a spectacular six course meal. For example, we started with Chicken Nuggets with Chicken & Pancetta Farce, Quail Egg, and Pancetta Gravy, then we were spoiled with an out of this world Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass, Shoyu Glazed Carrot Ribbons, Braised Baby Bok Choy, Peppers & Edamame, Carrot Ginger Puree, followed by an outstanding, cooked to perfection Roasted Filet Mignon, Celeriac Puree, Garlic Confit & Wilted Spinach and Foie Gras Spiked Demi. We finished with a traditional Baked Alaska Chocolate Génoise, Vanilla Ice Cream, Meringue Brulee that kept our senses savoring for hours.

No doubt that this dinner was a Home Run and Chef Michael and his team took pride in offering a culinary experience that he knew would be fully appreciated by our members. All of us attending this dinner agreed that Chef Michael surpassed their expectations. We all left the evening with this wonderful feeling that this dinner was a perfect reflection of a Chaîne event as its best.

Most of you have already taken care of your National dues and I thank you for renewing your membership. However, still quite a few of you have not yet dealt with this administrative task so I would urge you to take care of it as soon as possible. Your membership is important and having you in our Chapter is a privilege.

I am looking forward to seeing you for a fantastic dinner at Lark.
